A Unique New Log Cabin with excellent specification, and it's amazing Price.

Firstly the Glulam Double Glazed Double Door is the Tallest Door in the Log Cabin Industry, With a height of 2.4m it really is an amazing Quality Double Glazed Double Door. Entering the door you will firstly notice the height above your head and then you will notice a steel foot plate to protect the frame work on the floor.. And the most striking feature is the amount of light that floods the inside and makes the roof seem very high..

Attaching the door to its quality frame are no ordinary Cheap hinges, we use set 6 Fiskas® Security Steel units. And as the door its self is made of Glulam it will last for years to come. Our CNC computerized window/door manufacturing unit doesn't just make perfect frames it also moulds the channels which we fit high quality draft seals.

All the Windows are manufactured from Glulam Timber which we insert CE approved double glazed units with Quality Tilt and Turn mechanisms. On the outside frame work of the windows are rain protectors and drip boards. At the base of each window is a High Quality Steel Rain Guard.

There are many different versions available of this cabin but the one we would like to present is the Glulam 44mm version as it is without doubt incredible value for money.

Why Glulam Timber?
Like other engineered wood products, glulam represents an efficient use of available resources. Whilst demand for lumber continues to increase worldwide, the reduction in availability of high-quality, large-diameter logs has combined with environmental concerns and changes in forestry management practices to make larger sections and long lengths of solid timber increasingly less economical and more difficult to procure. Glulam utilises smaller readily available sections that are efficiently end-jointed or surface faced bonded.

Glulam is stronger and stiffer than similar-sized members made of solid wood. This is achieved by grading during manufacture, together with the statistical effects of dispersing defects. Glulam also suffers less from movement due to moisture changes in use, because the individual laminations are dried to a close tolerance during manufacture. The procedure costs more but the product is of a lot higher quality. Gluelam is well suited for sunny, wet or damp conditions.

Incredibly The Chapel Log Cabin has 44mm x 250mm 90 degree set massive sized purlings which gets away from that all too often sagging roof syndrome on most 2.5 meter high buildings.
